Gold you can trust™
What is OrdinalGold.io?
OrdinalGold.io is a gold-supply and redemption programme using transferable, gram-denominated tokens on the Bitcoin network. When a predefined funding trigger is reached, OrdinalGold.io advances funds to mining partners through gold-streaming agreements in exchange for future gold supply. The Honey Badger Oracle™ records provenance information as gold moves from mine through production and processing into vault custody.
What does one token represent?
Each OrdinalGold.io token represents a contractual right to redeem one gram of 99.99% purity gold.
How does the programme work?
Token-sale proceeds support the gold-supply programme. When the predefined funding trigger is reached, OrdinalGold.io advances funds to mining partners under gold-streaming agreements. The partners produce and process gold, which is then verified and placed into a gold pool for the programme.
Gold is expected to begin entering the pool around 6–12 months after financing starts.
What is a gold-streaming agreement?
It is an agreement under which OrdinalGold.io provides financing to a mining partner in exchange for an agreed future supply of gold. These agreements are the mechanism the programme uses to finance mining and source gold for redemption.
When can I redeem gold?
Redemption becomes available when eligible gold has been produced, processed, verified and received into custody. The time this takes depends on the mining and supply process.
How does physical redemption work?
Holders can request physical gold through the redemption process. A minimum quantity applies, and identity checks, fees and delivery costs may apply. The exact minimum, fees, delivery options and steps are stated clearly in the redemption information before a holder makes a request.
Is a token linked to a particular gold bar?
No. A token represents a contractual right to redeem one gram of gold; it does not identify a particular bar. The Honey Badger Oracle™ records provenance information for gold moving through the programme and into the gold pool.
How is the gold tracked and verified?
The Honey Badger Oracle™ is designed to record provenance information as gold moves from mine through production, processing and custody into the gold pool. Assay records provide information about gold purity, while custody records document its presence in storage. Honey Badger Oracle™ records support traceability alongside this physical documentation.
Where is the gold stored?
Gold produced for the programme is intended to be placed into custody after it has been verified. OrdinalGold.io provides clear information about the custody arrangements, such as the relevant facilities and insurance, as those details are confirmed.
How is the token price set?
The price for a token is shown at the time of purchase. Gold prices change, and a token’s resale price may differ from the market value of the gold it represents. OrdinalGold.io does not promise a particular discount or resale price.
Can I transfer or sell my token?
Tokens are designed to be transferable through compatible Bitcoin wallets and marketplaces. Availability depends on wallet and marketplace support, as well as applicable restrictions. A transfer does not guarantee that a buyer will be available or that a token can be sold at a particular price.
What fees apply?
Fees may apply to services such as issuance, custody, insurance, redemption, handling and delivery. The relevant charges are shown clearly before a purchase or service request is confirmed.
Do tokens pay interest or rewards?
No. OrdinalGold.io tokens represent a contractual right to redeem gold. They do not pay interest, dividends, mining royalties or staking rewards.
What risks should I consider?
Gold production and supply depend on mining, processing, transport, custody and other services. These processes can take longer than expected, and the amount of gold produced may differ from expectations. Gold prices can rise or fall, and a token’s resale price and availability of buyers are not guaranteed. Wallets, marketplaces and the Bitcoin network may also experience technical interruptions.
Is OrdinalGold.io Regulated?
OrdinalGold.io’s descriptions of its processes explain how the programme is designed to operate. They should not be read as a statement that a regulator has approved the programme or its tokens.
How does OrdinalGold.io support communities?
OrdinalGold.io’s financing model works with mining partners. The project also uses, or may use, Fedimint and similar systems for community-managed Bitcoin transactions. Any particular community initiative or outcome depends on the programme involved.
Where can I buy or transfer tokens?
Use the Buy Gold section of OrdinalGold.io for the available purchase information. Transfers depend on compatible Bitcoin wallets and marketplaces.
